## Who is John Müller?

John Müller (also written John Mueller) is a German Ewing sarcoma survivor from Kempten in the Allgäu (Bavaria), now based in Berlin. He is the founder of 8000km.live / "Survival Isn't Enough". He is not Google's Search Advocate John Mueller.

The ride is complete. John Müller reached the Taj Mahal in Agra, India on August 12, 2026 and was back in Germany on August 16, 2026 — 100 days on the road, 8,000 km, all 15 countries, May 8 to August 16, 2026.

## The cause

8000km.live is an emergency fund for young sarcoma and cancer patients ("junger Sarkompatienten-Notfallfonds"). Donations are allocated to the projects that need them most urgently, including Deutsche Sarkom-Stiftung, CCF Children Cancer Foundation, sarcoma patients at Klinikum Essen and Klinikum Stuttgart, and the children's palliative unit "Kleine Riesen" in Munich.

Initial goal: €8,000. Nearly €50,000 raised so far — about 6× the original goal.

On June 28, 2026, John Müller of 8000km.live published a 30-second video filmed in a doner kebab shop in Samsun-Atakum on Turkey's Black Sea coast during his 8,000 km ride from Berlin to the Taj Mahal. He carries his empty plate back to the counter and thanks the owner in Turkish with the words "Eline sağlık" (blessings on your hands). The owner refuses to let him pay. Turkish media picked up the scene. As of September 2, 2026, 42 traceable uploads of the clip across five platforms add up to 29,357,757 views. The original post alone accounts for 14,956,289 views.
